Hip Hop shows n Limos

So this weekend was nice, lots happened. Thursday I met some buddies at Rock Bottom, then went out to DMMC's True to the Art show. It was really good, probably the best Hip Hop show I've been to in Des Moines. Everyone had really good sets and there were 175+ people there - big for hip hop in Des Moines. Aeon Grey and Really Real had a great set. Gai Den was a little off, but still good. The Gutter Bros (Brandon J Atlas and Shaoo Zulu) were definitely decent. Rebel's Advocate (the guys whose music video I'm working on) were awesome. I recorded most of the show so hopefully video will be available on their respective sites soon.

Friday nothing really happened, just cleaning, hanging out, and Simpson's.

Then Saturday I tanned for the first time, haha. They were all like, "you can leave your underwear on if you want. Some boys don't like to tan naked." Screw that, I have never had a tan backside in my life, this is my chance! Now when I run naked in St Lucia, I won't burn. Later we met up at my cousins' house for Ethan's golden birthday. He turned 10 and got surprised with a limo ride to his favorite restaurant - Mustard's BBQ. I'm about positive that we are the only people to ever take a limo there. It ruled. After dinner, we went out to the No Coast Hip Hop show with Summer and friends. It was pretty decent, but no one was there, seriously - lame. Luke and Really Real had another nice set, Soul Crate Music was awesome, Soundsgood and Approach/DJ SKU were also good... too bad there wasn't a crowd though.

Sunday we woke up late, I got baptized, then we grilled with Vicki, Matthew, and the boys. It was a good weekend - now I've got 2 weekends of bachelor parties.

More pics. (You may notice I started playing with my flash and long exposures again. I need to turn the exposure down just a hair and it will be perfect.)
