Horror Films, Tech N9ne, etc

So this weekend was pretty productive. I really had a lot of fun.

First, Zach and Kevi met me at the cAb after work, then we ate at Rock Bottom. Rocktoberfest is out again and it is oh so good. After Rock Bottom we started filming our new movie, which we're entering in the Good Morning America: Scary Movie Contest. We finished filming about 1:30 AM and then hit up Legends for a quick game of pool. Our video is pretty good, it's almost ready to send in - Hopefully we win. ;)

Saturday we woke up, ate at HuHot, checked out Jordan Creek (where we saw this XTerra), then did some skating. And for dinner Zach wanted to try sushi so we had dinner at Taki. After all that it was time for Tech N9ne at Val Air Ballroom. It was a great show. Kutt Calhoun was really good, and Project Deadman was awesome - I need to buy both of those CDs. We also saw Empire and Skatterman & Snugg Brim. Then Tech N9ne came on. We didn't stay for the entire show but everything we saw was awesome. He played all good stuff for sure. Also, one of the dudes from Slipknot was DJing in between sets. He was pretty good. I caught him when he stage dove during Tech's set.

After the show we changed from our rap concert clothes into trendy clothes and went to check out Crush which was this new bar in Clive about a year ago, haha. I finally checked it out. The place is pretty dope except they have the "no tennis shoes rule" which is really really lame. It's quite annoying when you're sponsored by a skate shoe company and can't wear your gear. Anyway, the bar area had dancing lights behind it. Plus the bathrooms along the back wall had perfectly clear doors that turned opaque when locked. After that we went to Drink. to close the bar and play pool.

So yeah, cAb, Rocktoberfest, filming a video, HuHot, Jordan Creek, sushi, Tech N9ne, Crush, Drink. - what a good weekend at home.

by the way, that's the fob'iest white bar I've ever seen. Dancing backlit walls at the bar, transluent bathroom doors, lot's of brightly colored drinks, telivisions near the ceiling.. You sure this wasn't somewhere in San Francisco?
