OMG Christmas 06

There are two things to note about this year's Christmas.
1. Insanity (running around wise)
2. Awesome

So late Tuesday night, my dad, Chris, and Bre'anna showed up at my place. We basically hung out for an hour then went to bed.

Wednesday was kinda funny cause both Kari and I had to work but then met back up with everyone at Vicki's later. We had some sweet tortilla soup, hung out, played catch phrase, etc. No big woop.

Thursday, Kari and I completely ditched family to go to the Pink Spiders/Kill Hannah show at House of Bricks. It was nuts, seriously. We showed up right in the middle of the Pink Spiders set, which was perfect timing thanks to our sweet Pho diversion. Greg (bassist from Kill Hannah) put us on the guest list <3, which is good cause they sold HOB right out of tickets, haha. It was really an insane show. The fans were crazy. We got to hang out with Greg for a minute, which was nice.

Friday, I worked for a bit, snuck out to eat some of my grandpa's sweet breakfast, then worked for a bit more. Later grandpa came over and decided to fix my home electricity right up. No more power outages during parties hopefully, haha. Plus Kari can now blowdry her hair in the bathroom, heh. Then we exchanged some immediate family gifts at my place before heading to Vicki's to eat lasagna and exchange some more.

Saturday, we woke up early so that we kids could all drive to the QC and spend some Christmas with mom. It was quite a packed ride with 4 people, luggage, and a human sized dog. Once we got into town we visited grandpa, then I did a bunch of chores for mom before Terry/Carolyn Swails, and the Hites' came over for some dinner, games, and funny gifts. After everone left we then exchanged immediate family gifts again. It was nice.

Christmas Eve, we went to church with mom, had brunch, then headed to CR to shop for Teresa, have soup, and exchange more gifts.

Christmas Day, we opened some gifts from Santa and then drove to Newton to exchange more gifts with Kari's family. Then Vic and I snuck out and drove back to DSM.

Tuesday, we shopped, were crabby, then had sushi before Kari's parents left.

And finally Wednesday, today. I'm in Mankato writing this blog while waiting for Kari to get ready to go to dinner.

So that was a recap of my itenerary. Not really that exciting to read. Basically we had a ton of family time. It was nice for sure, but definitely long.

The gifts this year were really exciting. I was excited for everything we bought for other people. So excited that I forgot to anticipate what gifts I'd be receiving... which was ridiculous. I got some of the best gifts this year. So many tools. So much awesomeness. I'm excited. And hungry. And listening to ThugZone on iTunes Radio.
