Hey @WhirlpoolCorp, why do the dishwashers that you make now suck so much harder than the dishwashers you made 20 years ago?

My grandma still has an olive green one from the 70's in her kitchen! And it still works perfectly!
Regulations on how much water they can use that's y
Bite the bullet and buy a Bosch.
@broox @WhirlpoolCorp in fairness the dishwasher probably costs 50%+ less that what it cost in real dollars 20 years ago.
Sorry you had a bad experience. BTW, my mom worked at Whirlpool for 27 years. If c you're buying appliances, I can get you the employee discount no problem. Ships directly from Whirlpool to your house.
Because they are a public corporation. Their end goal is to meet their earnings targets quarter after quarter to support their stock price; meanwhile, they face increased competition from other emerging players, some who have lower cost inputs and some who may even receive state subsidies. To meet those earnings targets the 2 easiest methods is to (1) cut costs and (2) leverage the balance sheet by taking on more debt.
We splurged on a Bosch in our Ankeny house & it was worth every penny!
Haha I was just bitching about ours this morning. How can an appliance that costs so much be so shitty. Ours hardly even works most of the time.
Guess I shoulda bought a Bosch
