Every light on the main floor of our house is now smart and automated. 💪

What’s your setup?
Me to. No less then 3 standards at my house hahaha. Dumb. Bit Alexa seems to bind them all together
After much debate, I wound up going with the Lutron Caseta dimmers (with the Pro hub) for my switchable/ceiling lights. Philips Hue for colored accent lights... and Z-wave outlets where I have lamps that I want to be automated. We also have some "dumb" Lutron motion sensor switches in places like the mud room, powder room, etc.

All ceiling lights are using osram LED bulbs that go from cooler to warmer as they dim so that I can do some circadium rhythm stuff throughout the day (nerd).

Everything is tied together and automated with a platform called Home Assistant that I'm running on a Mac Mini. This does things like presence detection (so certain lights toggle when we arrive, leave, etc), turns interior/exterior lights on at sunset, arms cameras, etc, etc.

I also have a couple Google homes and Amazon echos for voice control (Cause I still can't decide which I like better, heh)... but when everything is automated correctly, we rarely need to control anything with voices or by touching anything physical at all.
P.S. I'd be happy to chat about why I went with these things or what I think you should go with based on your wants/needs.
