What firmware is it?

jon - modem firmware 05.12.01 with baseband bootloader 06.02. it looks the hacker kids are making good progress though. they've figured out how to downgrade bootloader 05.08 with fuzzyband... so hopefully this one will be figured out and released soon. i'm bit worried that they're gonna wait until the iphone 4.0 release to release it though... just so that apple won't have a chance to fix it.

I guess I haven't plugged my phone in for awhile and didn't realize they released a new firmware. When I hacked mine I tried the downgrade thing first and that didn't work for me. hopefully it will work for you. Another option is to call At&t and ask them to give you the unlock code. If you tell them you are traveling internationally and want to use the phone overseas, they have to give you the unlock code and sequence. Although I am not sure if this will work on the Iphone... I did it with my old blackjack to sell it... But then never sold it. You would probably have to have the original owner call, or act like him.
