This past weekend, Kari and I flew down to Texas to visit my sister and Chris. We've never really hung out with just the 2 before, so it was nice to finally get to visit - just us.

And as an extra bonus - travel was crazy smooth. NWA didn't charge us for checking bags (in fact we could've each checked an extra bag if we wanted), plus we got free sodas, and 1 of our flights even landed 30 minutes early, nice!

So anyway, we got into San Antonio late Thursday said some words, then we all basically crashed.

Friday, Halloween, we took Daniel to a pumpkin patch and then checked out the new house that Bre'anna and Chris are building. It is stupid nice. And yeah, I'm a bit jealous that my younger sister has a nicer house than I do. …

ok. this is the most messed up, no-sense making trip ever. seriously, i am so baffled by it that i had to blog it, haha.

kevi's gf is flying up here from florida and kevi is picking her up from the airport. this is where normality stops.

from the airport, kevi and his gf are driving straight to florida. and by "straight to florida" i mean that they're stopping in texas to pick up kevi's mom, haha. then, once they get to florida, they're hanging out for 4-5 days. after that, kevi's mom is flying back to texas and kevi and his gf will drive back to des moines.

obviously this doesn't make a whole lot of sense so i tried to figure it out mathematically.

So, to finish out sunday... Kari and I checked out this brewery called Humperdinks - great place. The only thing that sucked was that their 2 best beers were seasonals, heh. After dinner we swam at the hotel. I saved 2 baby bunnies that decided to jump in with us. Swimming bunnies are pretty hilarious.

Today, kari and I checked out this insane electronic store called Frys. They actually had high quality stuff and a cafe inside. I was impressed. Then we went to Galleria. It sucked. I mean, it ruled, but it sucked because I found out that I ran out of money. I mean like, RAN OUT. Checking balance: $0. I wanted to spend so much money at this mall; they had great stores. Man, San Antonio was pretty nuts... not nuts like off the chain, but nuts like lots happened. Kari and I drove down Friday morning (my birthday) to get to our hotel and Bre'anna's wedding rehearsal. It was obviously incredibly boring, but definitely necessary. Weddings are such a production. Especially in this mega-church. If it werent for the decorations on stage, you wouldn't know this place was a church - more like an auditorium of some sort. This was a huge huge complex. I think the place held 4,000 people. After the rehearsal was the rehearsal dinner where we ate, people gave toasts, and people cried. It was pretty funny, Chris's family had like 7 people toast, our side had 1, haha, we rule. Man, this was a long day. Kari and I got into Dallas at 11, then met Maddie for lunch. We checked out BJs brewery then toured the HSL offices. It was pretty awesome. I was like a kid in a candy store. I got to see a couple prototypes for new shoes. One is really dope. The other is in the super early stages, so it was pretty funny. I can't really say anything about it... But if it gets invented I will laugh. Roger (the inventor of this prototype - and Heelys) rules. He's in the guinness book for being the youngest person to rollerskate, haha. Like 8 months old or something.

Anyway, there are huge heelys and soap posters everywhere, plus the entire place has hard floors so people can heel around. It was nice to finally meet …

Oy. Stupid 4am. Stupid flights. We were supposed to fly to dallas last night with a connecting flight in denver. Our flight to denver was cancelled... And I'm on my way back to the airport hoping that this 6am flight will get us to dallas by 11am.

Today will be long.

I made thumbnails for the albums in my photos section. I love working on my site, haha. Hopefully soon it will be how I want it... so I can start over and redesign the whole thing again, haha. Stupid website.

I fly to Dallas today. Kari looked into renting us a ferarri, porsche, or hummer to drive while we were there. but we found out that it would be better to make house payments instead. The cheapest "exotic" was a corvette for about $300 a day. So we're renting a malibu or something. And since we're not 25 we have to pay $35 extra a day, wtf. Somehow I got away with renting a car to drive to STL. ..maybe I got lucky.
