Snow and a Long Weekend at Home

Whoa buckets, this weekend ruled. I stayed home and really had a lot of fun with wifey.

It basically started Thursday afternoon when my internet died. Nick and I had just launched some new features at our alive sites (mainly user accounts and a mobile site); I'm pretty excited about it. Now we're starting a semi-secret project with a couple other dudes in Des Moines. I think they're gonna get rich... Hopefully they bring us with, haha.

Lightning, Tornados, Floods, Bow Fishing

I usually try not to write unless big things are happening... because blogs get annoying when people talk about every detail of their lives. But man so many things have already happened this week.

Yesterday the road to was flooded over on the way to work. Stupid water. It is seriously so high right now. When I finally got there, I look down at my front tire and saw a screw sticking right out of the middle of it. ...I was wondering wtf that clicking sound was sunday night when driving around, haha.

Hovering rain

Ok, yesterday I saw the coolest thing I've ever seen before (and kevin was a witness). I live in a building where the windows are sunken in about 3 feet, and when the wind blows it sort of creates a little wind tunnel in the little nook. Anyway, it was storming REALLY bad here the other day and kevin and I were watching out my window. As we're watching, tons of rain drops right in front of my window just stop in mid air. The drops just stayed in one position for a good 10 seconds. They did not go up, down, left, or right. They just stayed still... 40 feet above the ground...
