The Larson Wedding Weekend

So Zach and Amy are married, heh. The weekend was pretty packed, lots of driving, lots of stops, and lots of events.

Thursday we left town, dropped Ninja off in Cedar Rapids, dropped Cedric off in Iowa City to buy a Ducati (which was really nice), and finally continued onto my Parents house to have Riverbend Pizza and hang out.

Friday, Kari and I drove to Peoria to meetup with the guys to get Tuxes for the wedding. I had forgotten my sidekick charger so I stopped by a T-Mobile kiosk to buy a new one. They had a demo of the Sidekick III and let me play - it was soooo rad. I can't wait to get it. The OS seemed nicer and smoother. The chat clients were really nice, and the keyboard seemed much better (believe it or not). The tracking ball ruled, and the overall device was much easier to hold. It was exciting - I cannot wait.

Anyway, yeah... Later we went to rehearsal and dinner. It was good to see Aaron, Jordan, and all our other friends. Zach got us these sweet personalized beer steins, plus dinner was awesome. Then a bunch of us went to this local Monmouth bar where we played shuffleboard in remembrance of Josie Bs. After hanging out there for a minute, Zach and Amy went home while Aaron, Cassie, Kari, and I met up with Randall and Kelli in Peoria. It was ridiculous. Seriously.

The next morning I died, then we all went to the church for photos, marriage, etc. The wedding was really nice. It was short, good, and friends got married. Mid-ceremony, I'm standing up front and was like "oh no." Jordan had been playing games on my phone all morning with the sound all the way up. The last thing I wanted was Kid Capri screaming out of my pocket, so I had to pull out my phone and shut it off. I'm sure I looked like an idiot, but it was probably better that way, haha.

After the wedding we rocked a limo over to the dry reception. So everyone had a drink or 2 real quick, heh. The reception was a good time - pretty mellow, but nice. We attached this ball-n-chain to Zach's leg, haha. It was really nice to meet and hangout with Zach and Amy's families. They were cool people. Congrats Zach and Amy!

The reception got over a little early so Kari and I drove over to Rich's parents' house to meetup for some swimming and pizza. Kevi and Julie joined also. We swam in coldness and rain, but the pool was almost 90 degrees so it was ok. Playing with Rich's cam made me really want those underwater housings that I've been hankerin for.

Aaaand Sunday we finally started heading home. On the way we stopped by Kari's parents' house to pick up our dog, visit, and have some lunch. I was quite tired after the weekend. Pics

This coming weekend - nothing. Woooooooooooooooo!
