Viva la Bam err... Broox
So, lately, I've been getting a lot of people telling me that I "look like that guy on 'Viva la Bam.'" Which is sorta funny, because we do have similar styles, my hair is getting long, I skateboard, have all the cky DVDs, own a couple HIM CDs (which are actually from Finland, woot), and even sport a heartagram belt.
The thing that sucks is people only know Bam because of mtv. I mean, seriously... isn't Bam the guy sponsored by Element, Volcom, Fairmans, Clive, or Adio? or is he the guy that's been putting out awesome DVDs titled "cky" or "haggard?" or maybe he's the brother of Jess from the band, cky. He might even be that insane fan of HIM, has the same tattoos as ville valo, and puts a heartagram on everything. Why is he just now getting noticed now that he's selling out?
Don't get me wrong, I would do anything to have a life like his, I said that before he was even on Jackass... but seriously. The other day I was at the mall and some dude comes up to me and is all like, "whoa dude, where'd you get that Bam belt!?" Then he showed his friend, "Yo, check out that guy's Bam belt." I mean, if you really want a "Bam belt," go to Pacific Sunwear and buy the one in their case that says, "BAM." The heartagram is a very cool logo, but it's not Bam's... people need to realize that. Valo invented it and let's Bam use it.
Just the other day, Kari almost bought me a new deck, you might have seen it; it's pink and has a big heartagram on the bottom... but then she put it back cause it said BAM really big as well.
So, whatever, maybe I look sorta like him, or at least more like him than you might... but the point is, Bam is not only the guy from Viva la Bam. He is a skateboarder, and an awesome one at that. THIS is why I like him, not because of lame mtv.
