Chicago - Heelys and Metallica
So this weekend I was scheduled to do a Heelys demo in Chicago. Kari was already going to Barrington (a suburb) to visit friends and see a Jimmy Buffet concert (dork, haha). So I rode along with her and cassie and got dropped off at a train station and played with my camera while I waited. Harper and I then went to Crobar at 2am with Jordan and Monica. It was nice to see Claudia and Red Hair Matt again too. They had some 70s disco theme going on or something - it was funny. We got back and went to bed at 5 - I love Crobar.
Saturday, I woke up early for a Heelys demo at Nordstroms In Woodfield mall. The guys I went with were really cool and the demo went awesome. After that, Harper and I met at crobar to catch our escalade limo and go to the Metallica / Godsmack concert - which was so good. Everyone was really cool, plus it was nice to have skybox seats, haha. We went with doctors and some big dog marketing folks. The group was pretty diverse - this one girl's mom ruled, haha. Anyway, Godsmack's drummers are incredible and Metallica played all their old stuff, they both rocked hard.
After the show we went straight into VIP at another club which was 99% asian people - it was awesome. And of course back to Crobar. The hired dancers there wear the most wacked out stuff - I love it. Plus there was a lot of confetti, which is ALWAYS fun. At about 5am harper and i decided to walk 20 blocks home and stop twice for tacos.
Now I'm writing this article on my clie while waiting at the train station to go back to Barrington and home - I heart chicago.
