Oh man, what a weekend. I love going to visit buddies - especially Zach on his 22nd birthday. Thursday after work I drove down to WIU (Macomb) to hang out with Zach for the weekend. As soon as I got there Aaron showed up on his way to see his girlfriend, which was a nice surprise. We all went out for a beer and then Turbo continued to Cassie's. After that, Zach and I went back out to the Pace and then played an awesome awesome trick Aaron. He was real mad, but it ruled.

Friday was Zach's birthday. It started out by Kevi calling and saying he was gonna come over - rule. While we waited for him to show up we watched Napoleon Dynamite. Then we decided that Napoleon's advice on girls was pretty legit. So before the night started …

So yesterday was Kari's 23rd birthday. It was fun. I was sorta stressed about the night and how it wouldn't go well due to my lack of planning, etc. But it was a good time. First we went to Bistro Montage which looks like this hole in the wall on Ingersoll. But the place is really nice. The chefs are right there, they come out and talk to people, etc. Very cool. Plus they made some awesome food. It was definitely edible art.

After dinner we met Nick and Nicole at Club Aura which is a club that opened in West Des Moines a year ago. My aunt has been telling me to check it out for so long... I finally did and it was worth it. It's pretty retro inside with lots of places to sit. Plus, they have DJs that are actually spinning …

What a fun weekend. The days were sorta weird due to messed up sleep patterns. It kinda seemed like one long day. But anyway...

Friday, Kevi, Kari, and I drove up to Morgan to meet Josh Lueck for a Birthday Bash. We got to his house at 11:30pm, picked up Jolene and then met Josh at work (@ Jackpot Junction). Kevi and I played some Pai Gow poker, which is a really fun game and Kari found out that she hated casinos, which was funny. Once Josh got off work (@ 2am) we drove up to the cabin we'd be staying in at Leech Lake. On the way there we saw the temperature get down to 29 degrees, wtf. We got there at 7:30am and napped til about 1.

After that there was lots of hanging out with the family that owned the cabin. We played …

Yep, Thursday I turned 23. Here's what went down...
After work, a bunch of guys met me up at the cAb. Friggin Rico and Doug bought me a gigantic fishbowl drink - I paid them back by playing Christmas music and other crappy songs on the jukebox. Then I met Kari for dinner at 801 grand. I was super pumped to eat on the top floor of the Principle building... but apparently you have to be some kind of member or something, because that did not happen - sad. The food was really really good, really expensive, and I really felt like crap after eating my rare steak. Stupid 12 hour digestion process, haha.

After that I met more friends at The Original Fun Bar for Birthday Thursdays. It was a good time - aside from the extreme mellowness …

My dad sends me these pointless but funny emails every once in a while. Well today he sends me this one.

There's 22 peanut M&M's in a package. So, you could eat one for every year of your age and still have one left over for tomorrow!!!

So, today is my 21st birthday, which is cool, but it also sucks because I'm pretty sick. I've been sick for about a week... so I'm going to the doc today to get checked out. Later, kari is taking me out to eat in Iowa City, then I'll probably have to come home and go to bed since I feel so great....

There is 1 bad thing about today... and that is... I turn 20. yep, today, August 5th is my 20th birthday. I'm not too happy about it. I'd really like to be 19 for life... Actually 17 might be better cause then I wouldn't be old enough to get in trouble for stuff. Well, whatever age, I just don't want to be 20.

Another thing that sucks, is one of my real good friends (james) just moved to AZ. Actually 4 of my friends did. So I'll probably never see them again.
