Taste of Des Moines and The Bridge

I sort of forgot to write about things going on. It's been so crazy hot that not much has happened. 2 weekends ago Zach and I tried to go soaping downtown, we hadn't gone in forever so we decided to give it a shot again. After about 10 minutes we were dying, so we just decided to walk around the city. We found some wicked sculptures. Then we decided to check out the new i235 pedestrian bridge but somehow ended up way way past it, haha. We zig zagged back through some ghetto, and finally got to the bridge. it's pretty nice, but we really couldn't figure out the point. I mean the other new ped bridges connect to schools. This one connects ghetto A to ghetto B. And the end closer to downtown Ys off into nothing. I mean it led us into this little wooded area in the projects. Whatever though, that side of town is going to get a lot nicer in the next few years. Big things going on in Des Moines, Big things.

Last weekend was the Taste of Des Moines. It really wasn't that good this year, there were lots of chain restaurants and gyros. Plus it was 100 degrees. Though we did see Trick Daddy at the Amphitheater. We got there just in time for the booty dancing and "LET'S GOOOOO" It was a good time. Trick is funny. After the show we walked around the festival a few times.

I learned that Des Moines Alive needs to make more money; DM Juice is beating us. We totally need a Scion with 6 subs and LCDs in the back. Whatever though, at least our site doesn't suck.

There is a ghetto? I thought you guys only walked a few blocks east of the bridge, not all the way to Chicago.
