Tech N9ne, Rich's Birthday

This weekend was pretty unproductive, but definitely had some good times. Friday I drove out to Rich's for his birthday, and to see Tech N9ne of course. It was nice to see everyone, mitch, rankin, ben (somehow there are never pics of ben), and tons of other peeps that I don't really know that well.

So first was Tech N9ne at Quad City Live. We got in free because apparently we knew someone that did some work for the owners. So yeah, the show was crazy in more ways than 1. As always Tech N9ne was awesome. He is seriously one of the most insane rappers ever. So much talent, so little props. I love his shows. It's also nice to see Kutt Calhoun and Krizz Kalico again. But probably the most insane part of the show is this... I used to work at this pizza place in Mt Vernon called Pizza Palace. There was this girl there named Mary Shook. We became really good friends, she was fun, and ruled. Kevi, her, and I hung out a lot. Anyway, some girls got on stage, a few of them had these tiny tiny Tech N9ne tank tops on with tiny tiny tech underwear, and one of them had on jeans with a black tech tank top. This was Mary. Mary then got to go backstage with Tech. omg. So, there are more crazy parts to this story, but it gets long. Anyway, I wish I still had her number so I could ask her about it. It was seriously crazy.

Ok, so after the show we went to a few QC bars: Carriage Haus, Bent River, and QC Zone. Then we headed back to Rich's to swim. A lot of people were there, it was fun... but everyone pansied out and took off around 2:30 or something, while the true party folks kept going until rankin fell asleep at 4:30 AM. Great time. Glad I drove back for it. (more pics)

Saturday we hung out with Kari's family for a big ol reunion and 50th anniversary in Newton. It was fun, but long. Vic and I got bored so we went to Walmart and picked up a PSP. It ruled. I want my own now. They are coming out with a keyboard, and maybe AIM, full internet (without hacking), IRC, etc. Stupid toys.

Maybe I will finish the shed this week. Haha.

that tech n9ne show looked like a ton of fun. yeah dude you need to finish that stupid shed so we can skate!

so i just got off the phone with mary and apparently she got to hang out a bit with tech n9ne..... but he went to his hotel room early at the raddison with his girl. however, mary got to hang out with kalico a lot and drove kutt calhoun around to get some drank. kutt also has mary's number now and said the next time he's in town he'd call... hopefully this happens.



mary is a great great girl. i dont care what anyone says, she is one of my favorites. plus, she likes tech n9ne, haha.
