Cornerstone Thus Far

So I'm halfway through Cornerstone. So much fun. My only complaint is that there aren't as many people here this year. It's only Zach, Amy, and I at our camp site. I wish Aaron, Jordan, Gregg, Kevi, and Kyle Pitman would have come. Besides that, I've had quite a bit of fun and seen a lot of shows. I've stopped by quite a few of the small random hardcore stages that kids setup at their camp sites, good stuff.

Anyway, Thursday we saw...
-Slow Coming Day - Which is Cullen's brother's band. I like their music, it was nice to see Orion play. Indie Rock, yeah.
-Kutless - They had a lot of trouble picking a style... Creed, Rapcore, Hardcore, etc.
-Reliant K - Really good. I hadn't heard them before, but I liked the show.
-Switchfoot - Not as good as I thought they'd be, with their radio hits and all.
-Supertones - Great show. Insanely live concert. However, if I want to listen to ska outside of Cornerstone, I prefer Reel Big Fish.
-DJ Trancelott - Looked like a fat version of Kevi's dad, really weird. But was spinning some really good stuff. I wish DJs handed out their set list, heh.

And on Saturday we saw...
-Squad Five-O - Really really good. They put on a great show. Everyone loves to see crazy people on stage. The Fortson brother's handle that well. They covered the audience in feathers by breaking down pillows everywhere on their last song, ha.
-Skillet - Like Kutless. We listened to them from the camp site.
-Project 86 - Man, I miss mosh pits. These guys kicked off the hardcore stuff for the festival. I got jacked in the nose in the mosh pit, craziness. Luckily I had super band-aids covering my nipples.
-MXPX - Heart MXPX. So good. The circle pits are so fun. You don't get beat up as bad, but still... very fun. I fell down once in that pit.
-Norma Jean - It poured on our way to the show, and being without shirts, we were really cold. Their stuff is soooo hard. I love the freestyle mosh pits. You just jump in this circle, go crazy, then jump back out. 1 or 2 people at a time, haha. The old singer (Brad Norris - who slapped Zach and I's hands at the Cornerstone show in 2002) even came out and "sang" a song. Rule.

Anyway, yeah because of the rain we stayed at Zach and Amy's apartment last night as opposed to our tent. Besides that, we've been hanging out, playing hacky sack, OK, I should leave now.
