On top of fire and tornado drills, my wife's school is now doing emergency lockdown drills... This feels both very smart and very sad.
And sobering. We had ALICE training for an active shooter in a church this week. The Co. Sheriff and Baxter P.D. put on the training for all the churches in town. Sad.
Yeah, apparently throwing furniture and office supplies at someone with a gun is the appropriate response in schools.
They've been doing them for years here but it's sad they've finally hit small town America.
