It kills me that they chose a British accent for the automated announcement woman at the airport in Des Moines, Iowa. Who chose this? why?

It happens when people try to imitate class and comes off just confused.
we have a Scottish (I think) accent in the elevators at the office. You'll notice it now.
for historical accuracy, they should've done a French accent.
