I've heard this. So I went with t.co/ZA0vMGQCtS + Airport Express. Super happy with this setup, but not easily multi-room.

side note: that $350 price point for a device that's basically a sonos airport express seems a bit off.

it's not the files that I want, it's the curation via ratings, comments, playlists, and smart playlists.

ah, gotcha! Now I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down. I think your best shot for the time being is an airport express to aux.

which still lets you connect to the other rooms. It gets you there, but it's not optimal.

the only speaker with aux input is the play:5 (which i don't have)... otherwise, you have to buy an airport express-like sonos device for $350 just to connect aux.

I've been digging Chromecast, even though it is stupid to have to route to the TV to get to the stereo.

If you're not doing multi room stuff, I don't get the value prop of Sonos at all, to be honest...

i've got amps, speakers, and airport expresses doing multi-room in my house... i'd just like to be able to use my itunes stuffs with the sonos i have in my apartment.
