Another pro tip, buy extra fitting and such if you are not sure what you'll need. HD is very good about returns.

I've definitely done my fair share of that! This was the case of simply replacing a kitchen sink faucet, the shitty under sink valves not fully functioning and needing a shorter faucet line.

P.S. I hate non-ball lock/quarter turn valves... Hate em.
