I’ve also been trying to figure this out
@JShinbot @broox I’ve been intrigued by that one. How has it been for you? Did you do drop off / pickup at an airport or home?

@tolar @broox Renting cars is the worst experience in the world. So much annoying upselling and long waits talking to people.

@JShinbot @broox I second turo. I am driving one today.
@skabaru @JShinbot did you get their insurance or rely on your own?
did you get their insurance or rely on your own?
@broox @JShinbot I called my agent and explicitly asked and he said I'm covered. I decline theirs. I've probably done turo 10 or more times now.
@skabaru @broox @JShinbot how is the pickup/dropoff situation? have you done at the airport or a home type thing
@tolar @broox @JShinbot I've never done the airport. Always local. Homes, parking lots usually. Dropped at my house once.

But never an issue.
@tolar @broox @JShinbot I'm cheap on rental cars, so if I am at an airport I can usually get a better a price than turo.

Non airport pickup traditional rental cars have shitty hours and usually higher prices.
@skabaru @broox @JShinbot i'm tempted by a dope car i could get from turo vs the standard fare at the rental agency …
@tolar @broox @JShinbot I've totally considered it for fancy things but not done it on anything other than an appliance.
@skabaru @broox @JShinbot 🙇 thanks for the info!
@tolar @broox @JShinbot No problem. Think of it as Airbnb for cars, and note that there will likely be variance but overall I've been happy.
