How do I do that? I HATE those things.

I think you can only do it from the regular site. But in the stream, each post has an "x" in the upper right corner when you hover over it. Click it, then a button appears that says "hide this app" or something.

And when people invite you to stuff, I think there's a little block application link/button below the invite
