if you look at the 2 femurs, you can see the ball/socket on his right femur (left side of the photo) has a nice narrow area after the "ball" this allows the bone to freely move around in the socket.
the left femur is the problem - there is no narrow part after the ball. the bone is just right there on the ball, which doesn't allow the leg to move as freely in his hip socket. it just sort of rocks around in there.
