HDMI to component converter? Aren't those pretty expensive?

I mean, I say that, but I just ordered a new A/V receiver that can probably do the same thing. But it's, uh, to drive my speakers.

$60 and doesn't even work right with the apple tv. it cuts off around 100px of the left side.

Oh, only ones that work are expensive.

well, the weird part is, it's just fine with my blue ray player. i think it has something to do with the hdmi version on the apple tv being newer than what this converter supports.

several people claim this one works perfectly for their apple tvs, and is definitely useable... but still, it's cut off.
