YM Magazine

Alright, it's almost March and the April issue of YM magazine is being distributed to subscribers all over the U.S. Why does this matter? Because me and 10 of my friends did a photo shoot with YM last summer and some of us are going to be in it! That's right, a writer from YM (Sara Lyle... who's awesome) flew in from New York, and 2 Photographers drove over from Chicago. All for me and my buddies: Aaron, DJ, James, Jordan, Mike, Nate, Nick, Travis, Zach, and Zack.

Why? Well, apparently YM does an article about "regular guys," who aren't actors or models or whatever, every month. And they always try to do it about different types of guys, whether it's football players, skateboarders, whatever.

Sara found brooksfsw.com, my old soap shoes website, contacted me and asked if me and my buddies would be interested in being in their article. I immediately called my friends and jumped at the opportunity. We then kept in contact by phone until they came and did the shoot and interviews last July. After waiting and waiting, we found out that we wouldn't all make the article, in fact, only 6 of us did. But, some of my friends and I are in a freakin magazine, which hits the shelves in March.

So, go pick yourself up a copy of the April issue of YM and check it out.

P.S. I'm on page 124, heh.

I'm extremely excited to check out the article... friends of mine with subscriptions to YM have already seen it, and the reactions have been generally good (i.e: "that kid derek is hot!!") anyway, for those of you who are looking to pick up a copy of the magazine, my best guess is that it will be on shelves somewhere around the very beginning of March (possibly this friday or saturday?). It's the April issue, which mean's it'll be out a month before then. so guys, have fun buying YM... or make your girlfriends do it for ya

just buy it and say that the guys in it are your friends. i went and bought 2 copies today, besides... do you really care what those people think about you?
