While I was on my honeymoon I got this email from Kevi that said, "Here's the plan... Friday, Nov. 4, we go to Cedar Rapids and hang out with the cast of Viva la Bam. Saturday, Nov. 5, we film Tonya's musical and then come home." I was confused, but when I got home he told me that he bought VIP tickets for Don Vito's Back to School Tour, where apparently Don Vito and guests from Viva la Bam tour around with rock bands. I'm not really a fan of Viva la Bam, in fact I think it's a pretty awful show - totally scripted. But I do love all the old cky videos. They're like Viva la Bam, but without mtv and infinitely deep pockets. So they're way better. That said, I'm definitely a fan of most of the cast of Viva la Bam, so I was in. Though I suspected that even though Rake, Raab, Brandon, and Dunn are on the poster, Vito would be the only one there...

So Friday we headed to Cedar Rapids and hung out in VIP with Don Vito - none of the others were there as I suspected, but it still ruled. I had totally planned on the night being laid back, but somehow it became insane. I tried to get Vito to do 50 shots of Peach Schnapps (like he did on one of the cky videos)... but he wouldnt bite. Kevi gave Don Vito huggles, hot girls were all around, bands were good, etc. One band, Speedfinger, sounded like Rage Against the Machine, which was awesome. Plus their guitarist had some insane tattoos. The second band was weird, they were sort of Green Day-esque, and shopped at either foot locker or hot topic.

Anyway, tons of people thought I was Bam, I wore my hat really low to play along, it was so funny. People were asking Kevi if I was Bam, dudes were yelling "Bam," etc. This one table would stop what they were doing and all look at me with cheesy grins, etc. Had I only had my sunglasses with me it would have been much better. So yeah, Lindsey and her sister showed up after a while and hung out with us and Vito. It was fun. Then Kari came and picked us up and we all went to Granite City.

At Granite City, I got a Benny Mai Bock, which is a darker beer, after a few drinks I noticed that there was a pickle in it, wtf??? So I immediately launched it over the wall at the bar, then other things got launched at them, etc. After that I began balancing, which RULED. Kevi did a great job supplying glasses while I accomplished some nice balances, got really excited, had fans, etc. I was doing pretty good until the manager came running over telling me not to balance glasses. I got all flustered and my tower fell hard. So yeah, broken pepper and a broken glass. That's what he gets for putting a pickle in my beer.

One of the funniest quotes of the night was when Don Vito said, "wow! you really look like Jess, my nephew." (Jess is Bam's brother for those of you that don't know)

Then saturday night we filmed a musical and came home pretty late.
