I know what one problem is....it's in pieces.
what's upsetting is...I know that bio-diesel mf'r
we fix a lot of monitors here and its almost always Capacitors. Just replace most of them its cheap and easy.. But if that usually doesnt fix it and there is no noticeable damage most of the time it is just junk
does it make any noises when you turn it on?
had a flat screen tv where humidity had contributed to the shorting out of a capacitor.
i suspected capacitors as well. they're all fine. i have 2 of the same monitor and even flipped the inverter boards between them to make sure the inverter boards were good. they are.
the problem is that when you turn it on, the back light comes on for a split second and then goes right back out. the display is still there if you shine a flashlight on it... all signs point to inverter board, but this even happens when i put the good inverter board into the bad lcd.
maybe the panel is just bad then
that's what i'm thinking... it's just driving me bonkers that i can't just fix it. ;)
well atleast the cost of buying new has come down a lot just go get you a new 30" thunderbolt display..
