How did you come up with the design?
Well, (in my mind) this wall was just begging for something big... I'd been wanting some kind of portal piece on it for a long time (first inspired by a German artist named 1010). Then, once Kari and I saw ChrisVanceArt's organic mural for the DM art fest (on the west side of downtown), we decided to commission him. We just told him we were looking for something portal-like but with his style... he mocked up a small piece, we loved it, and now he's just free-handing this big ol dude on our wall.
